Church at Medard were checked for his birth record, but the entries in the church records, as contained on LDS Film #0493330, are very sporadic for the years running roughly from1698 to 1715; there are only a limited number of entries during this time. This is probably due to stressed social conditions existing at that time. As a result, the birth record of Johann Nickol has not been found. However, the record of his First Communion on Palm Sunday 1720, validates the approximate birth date given here, since it can be demonstrated that siblings of his received First Communion around their 14th. birthday. |
