From the birth records of the children, it is possible to determined that Elisabetha and Michael had at least two more children. Their first, a girl, was born prior to Johann Christian in 1809. The other, also a girl, would have been born between Anna Christina and Johann Friedrich.
The date of Anna Elisabetha's death was noted in the margin of her birth record. This date has not been verified through comparison with the actual death record.

| Note* | | There were enough "distorted" facts in the birth record of xxx 1849 that it seemed necessary to confirm that, indeed, the record for the correct Johann Weigold was found. It was known from the 1900 census that Johann's brother, Friedrich, was born in May of 1856 so he was used as a check. Friedrich's birth was found recorded on the date of 3 May 1856 and it listed his parents as Jacob Weigold and Christina Mennel. With this corroborating information it is felt that the record for Johann is the correct one.
Harold Weigold's THE WEIGOLD FAMILY RECORD states that Johann immigrated to the U.S. in 1867. The 1900 census claims that he immigrated in 1870. However, an August Weygold (age 18 from Hesse) did arrive in New York from La Havre, on 7 Sep 1867 on the ship 'Atlanta'. He listed his occupation as 'Farmer'. This is presumed to be our August Johann Weigold.
After Johann and Bertha (her name is given as 'Bernardina' in their marriage record) were married they lived in Brooklyn, New York at 102 Debevois St. where he was a butcher. This is according to the 1880 census. In 1888, on 14 November, they moved to Tolland, Conn. where they bought and operated a farm. The address of that farm is now 255 Weigold Road, Tolland. The road being named after its most numerous residents.
