There is some doubt that all of the children listed as children of Johann Carl Leppla and Susanna Elisabetha are indeed their children. Birth records for all children have been found. However, because the father was sometimes listed as "Johann Carl" and sometimes as "Carl", the mother was listed once as "Anna" instead of "Susanna"; and the births cover a range of 24 years, it seems that it is possible that there is more than one set of parents involved.
